Registration is now open for the 12th annual People Plus Senior Health Expo, in partnership with Spectrum Generations, to be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Brunswick Recreation Center in Brunswick from 9 am - 1 pm.

The 15th annual Brunswick Area Teen Center Scoop-a-thon fundraiser, held April 26 at Gelato Fiasco in Brunswick, raised more than $11,000 for the Teen Center – breaking all records! This included combined funds from Gelato Fiasco sales, donations, sales at Big Top Deli during the day, raffle ticket sales and many generous sponsorships. 

Bring your spinning wheel and join the new Fiber Spinning Club at People Plus on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, 10 am – 12:00 pm! Spinning is about using a spinning wheel or spindle to transform fiber, usually wool, into yarn to be used for knitting, crocheting, or weaving. It is also about getting together with like-minded people to enjoy camaraderie.

The 21st annual People Plus Music in April fundraiser raised over $75,000 for the People Plus Senior Center! The online Music in April silent auction broke several records including 390 auction items; 396 bidders; and $26,000 in sponsorship.

The Write On Writers group of People Plus released their 10th collaboration, We Write, at an Author’s Chat at the People Plus Center on Wednesday, November 9. 

Former People Plus staffer Frank Connors, trying to come up with “his” way to celebrate the 200th birthday of the Great State of Maine, decided it would be fun and informative to create a list of the 200 places and things that make Maine so “special.” His list debuted in our March 2020 People Plus Newspaper with this article.

The 14th annual Brunswick Area Teen Center Scoop-a-thon fundraiser, held April 27 at Gelato Fiasco in Brunswick, raised over $8,500 for the Teen Center!
