Tom is an Ex Officio member of the People Plus Board of Trustees. Consequently, his term never expires. Tom is Director of Parks and Recreation for the Town of Brunswick. He is both a former Board of Trustees member and Past President of the National Recreation and Parks Association. Tom is also a current member of the American Academy of Parks and Recreation Administration. Recognized locally in 2015 by Access Health with its Helping Hand Award for his long, steady commitment to making Brunswick a healthier place to live Tom was also named the 2016 recipient of the Bowdoin Spirit of Service Award for his genuine commitment to improving the lives of others through service. As Director of Parks and Recreation for the Town of Brunswick, Tom was appointed to the Board of People Plus in 1984 and holds the title as longest standing Board member. He is Chair of the Teen Center Advisory Committee.
