Catherine was appointed to the board in July 2017.  She moved to Brunswick in 1974 from Tehran, Iran with her husband Rob and taught school at the Iranian/American School.  She and Rob started a business, The Good Sports, in downtown where she worked part time while raising their two children. When they sold the business she went back to teaching and taught elementary school at Woodside in Topsham and then moved to Brunswick Junior High to teach math. She retired in 2010. Her days are filled with working on the steering committee of Bowdoin Student Host Program, spending time with their many students, playing tennis, golf and working in her garden. She is in two book clubs and grabs whatever time she can to be with the 3 grandchildren.
